I want to start this post with a tip of the hat to my dear friend Martina, a fellow music lover and one who never seems to get musically jaded and always has her ear and mind open to new sounds. This playlist is partially inspired by continual sharing of what she’s grooving and me throwing stuff her way.
I figure the best way to absorb new material is to package it around stuff you already know and love. I’ve created a playlist of 26 songs (sorry, one wasn’t available on Apple Music) and the challenge I set for myself was that at least half of them had to be new to me/released this year.
